conducting a site visit for potential offerors for the Counterdrug
Surveillance and Control System (CSCS) effort. As several of the sites
are located in South America (specifically, Colombia, Venezuela, and
Peru), it is necessary that we collect information well in advance
about those who wish to attend. Each contractor may submit a MAXIMUM of
THREE (3) representatives for this bidder's trip. Depending upon the
number of respondents, we reserve the right to reduce the maximum
number of representatives that may attend. NO representatives may be
added or substituted after 20 Aug 97. Attendees must have a valid
passport and current immunizations for the countries to be visited.
Currently, the bidder's trip is scheduled to begin in Ft Lauderdale,
FL, on 2 Oct 97, and to end at Howard AFB, Panama, on 10 Oct 97. THIS
IS A TENTATIVE SCHEDULE and is subject to change. During this time, we
will tour the warehouse (FL); the CaribROC (FL); the JAOC (Panama);
San Andres, Riohacha, Leticia, and Marandua (Colombia); and Iquitos
(Peru). The Government will provide transportation from Howard AFB,
Panama, to the sites in Colombia and Peru. A separate site visit can be
made to the sites in Venezuela following 10 Oct 97; dates and further
information will be provided to those who plan to attend. Each
contractor will be responsible for lodging and transportation to and at
Ft Lauderdale, Key West, Panama, and Venezuela. Please submit the
following information regarding each representative: Name, Social
Security Number, Company Name, Position/Job Title, Security Clearance,
Passport Number, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Nationality, and a
Statement regarding separate trip to Venezuela ("I am interested in
seeing the sites in Venezuela." or "I am NOT interested in seeing the
sites in Venezuela."). Contractors who respond will receive further
information and a final schedule closer to the date of the site visit.
Please submit the information listed above by e-mail (address listed
below) or by fax (757-764-9297) to Lt Trudy Myers NOT LATER THAN 20 AUG
97. Incomplete information could result in a representative being
denied clearance/access to one of the countries in South America. Late
submissions can not be processed. (0225) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0082 19970815\M-0001.SOL)
