Each line item contains separate and individual work tasks which are: Line Item 1 -- Replacement of restroom drain pipes; Line Item 2 -- Repair of roof expansion joint located between building lines 8 and 9, and further defined between B and F lines; Line Item 3 -- Repair of roof expansion joint located between building lines 12 and 13, and further defined between B and F lines; Line Item 4 -- Repair of roof expansion joint located between building lines 16 and 17, and further defined between B and F lines. Each Line Item of work is located at Parker Dam, Bureau of Reclamation, Parker Dam Field Division, Parker-Davis Project, Azizona -- California. For Line Item 1, only the exposed drain pipes located in the battery room shall be replaced as shown in the clouded areas of drawing 231-D-1157. The existing cast iron pipe shall be replaced in kind. The replacement pipe shall begin at the nearest joint to a wall or floor that hasbeen drypacked with mortar. For Line Items 2, 3, qnd 4 the Contractor shall remove and clean the existing bituminous joint filler sufficiently to allow the joint to be resealed. The horizontal joint across the power plant roof is not visible as it is covered by 6-inches of gravel. Rubber joint strip is missing from the exposed portion of the joints over the parapets and down the outside walls of the power plant. The joint repair shall be limited to the horizontal roof joint and the parapet down to elevation 465.0. The joints along the parapet shall be cleaned, caulked, and a new joint strip installed. See drawing 351-301-88 for location of bituminous joint filler and joint strip repair. The estimated range of construction is $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. The RFQ closing date will be September 12, 1997 at close of business.
