Base Bid Item work consists of removing existing aluminum window wall system and installing a new window wall system. The new window wall system will eliminate approximately 75% of the existing windows. Option 1, Flooring in Classrooms, Corridors and Cafeteria: in classrooms and corridors work will consists of removing existing carpeting, vinyl asbestos floor tiles and mastic, work will also include installing new glue-down carpeting. Option 2, Gym Floor: work will consist of installing new glue-down carpeting and removing existing wood floor. Option 3, Electrical Upgrade: the project will include some consolidation of the existing electrical services, as well as, increasing the total capacity. New branch panels will be added to existing classrooms. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM, and/or the Internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD-ROM and the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
