E-MAIL: USCG Aircraft Repair & Supply Center, Elizabeth City, NC,
62645087@eln.attmail.com. Replacement of hydraulically powered constant
speed motor, P/N 722290, currently used to generate alternating current
for HU-25 aircraft. The Coast Guard is seeking information from
potential sources who can replace existing constant speed motor as the
Alternating Current power generating source for its current fleet of
24 operational HU-25 aircraft. The A-C power generated by the aircraft
is needed to power most of the navigation and sensor equipment which
allow the aircraft to execute their tasking. The mission of the HU-25
is to respond to search and rescue cases, maritime pollution incidents
and law enforcement activity. In an effort to reduce costs and
eliminate a poor performing component, the new system must be able to
generate 11kVA A-C power and have a documented MTBF of 2000 hours for
applications on other aircraft with similar power requirements. THIS IS
NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The purpose of this announcement is to
determine if a suitable replacement for the existing system is
available. Organizations having the required expertise and capabilities
are invited to submit ?complete information discussing possible A-C
power generating options. Firms are encouraged to comment on their
experience with previous aircraft systems replacement of similar scope
and complexity. Comments do not constitute a proposal; rather, will be
considered as an open exchange of capabilities and ideas. The
information contained therein shall pertain to this synopsis only. The
Government does not intend to pay for the information received. Any
interested organization must submit their data in writing within 30
days of this announcement to LCDR Hansen at the address given above.
Respondents will not be notified of the results of the source data
received, nor will a source list be provided. (AC0814026-04) (0226) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0188 19970818\16-0010.SOL)
