Fax at (703) 607-4611 The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to negotiate a contract on a "brand name or equal" basis for communications equipment. This combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item is prepared in accordance with the format of Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitues the only solicitation; proposals are being solicited and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is Request for Quotation number DCA100-97-Q-0180. The provisions and clauses for the RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation circular 90-45 (or latest). The SIC code is 3661 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The specific items required are 2 each PEC 63141A, part number TN750C Trunk Cards, 5 each PEC 63316A part number TN464F DS1 Interface Circuit Cards, and 6 each PEC 63842A part number TN2147C CO Trunk Cards which are manufactured by AT&T and the Government has no other technical data to describe the items. The offeror may propose a more recent version if the item cited has become obsolete. The place of delivery will be in Washington, D.C. 20734; exact address will provided at contract award. Delivery will be 30 days after award or sooner unless the offeror proposes a different time in accordance with standard commercial terms and conditions. Offeror will use this information to propose delivery FOB destination with all freight included in the offered price. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include a complete copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items for those clauses applicable to the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. DoD FAR Supplement clause 252.212-7001 also applies to this solicitation. The Defense Priority and Allocations System rating for this acquisition is DO-A7. No requests for this Request for Quotation will be accepted. All responses to this solicitation must be in writing and must reference the Request for Quotation number cited in this notice.
