The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service (NWS), in Kansas City, Missouri is proposing a contract with INH Technologies in Fort Worth, Texas for 73 Remote off air monitoring systems (ROAMS) for NOAA weather radio transmitters. INH technologies developed the Remote Off Air Monitoring System under contract number 50DDNW500045 which has since expired. The ROAMS allows personnel at an NWS office to automatically and manually monitor the operational status of a distant NWR transmitter. The primary function of the ROAMS is that of monitoring several data points at NWR transmitter sites and automatically reporting gathered information to another location over a standard telephone; respond to queries for information; respond to instructions to change the functional variables or configuration of the system. The Government intends to solicit to only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This is not a call for proposals. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication and shall submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified supply and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar supplies. No response will be provided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to 816-426-7530. This is not a request for proposals and there is no Request for Quotation available at this time. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
