Musgrove Contracting Officer, (301)295-6491 The National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Blood Bank Division, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced standing order to Vitron, Inc. for cuvettes. Vitron, Inc. manufactures the only cuvette for use with the laboratory's Hemocue Hemoglobin evaluation system. The following item will be procured: Seventy-two (72) cases Cat# 651200 Cuvettes, six (6) cases to be delivered each month. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1) year effective 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with four (4) year options. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conductedunder the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY98 funding. (0226)
