The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA 22448 intends to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis from Eastman Kodak Company, 11633 Sorrento Valley Road, San Diego, CA 92121 for the purchase of one (1) Kodak EKTAPRO Hi-Spec Processor, model 1012/2, NTSC catalog no. 1706514 which shall include three (3) each 6552-frame digital frame store, multi-channel data link (IRIG-B) catalog no. 1443803 and Computer Transfer Interface with Transfer Utility Software, catalog no. 8384851 and on-site installation. This is a replacement for a High Speed Tape Drive unit on a current SP1000 High Speed Video System. This is an upgrade to the existing system which were designed by Kodak. The uniqueness of this upgrade allows 1,000 frames per second or up to 12,000 frames per second in split frame mode. It also allows up to 19,656 images to be stored in digital memory. This camera unit and its upgrade are being used on the present Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel located at the White Oak Facility of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Silver Spring, Maryland and is used for data collection. Kodak is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the original system and its upgrade, therefore they can be the only source for this procurement.
