Q -- PROVIDE CARDIO-PERFUSIONIST SERVICES SOL IFB 543-8-98 DUE 091297 POC Sheilah Sharon, Contract Specialist, 573-499-1325 or Judy Heidenreich, Contacting Officer, 573-499-1324 Contractor will provide Cardio-Perfusionist Services to include operation of heart lung machine during open cardiac surgery, cleaning care and sterilization of open heart systems and patient monitoring devices, including calibration and balancing of recording units, utilizes laboratory, anesthesiology, respiratory therapy and intensive care procedures for research animals, as a member of the clinical team for open heart procedures assists staff or senior perfusionist and assists in teaching trainees in maintenance and operation of heart-lung equipment, and operates cell saver machine, balloon pump and other accessorial equipment. Individuals performing under this contract must be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and must be licensed in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. This is a per procedure contract for a period of one year with one renewable one-year option. Services will be provided at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. Coverage is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Response time is to be within 30 minutes from the time contractor receives the call. Average work load is 5 cases per week. A firm fixed price contract wil be solicited. Solicitations will be available on or about 8/20/97. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered.
