This is a modification to update the following information to the CBD issue of July 29, 1997 PSA#1897 and (SYN#0268 19970729 Z-0077.SOL). The Department of the Navy intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Award Fee for a Controlled Industrial Facility at the Naval Submarine Base, New London, Groton, CT. The award fee pool consists of $400,000. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following evaluation factors; 1) Relevant Past Performance, 2) Technical Factors including (a) Technical Approach, (b) Quality Control, (c) Environmental Control and (d) Management Plan. 3) Price/Cost. The work includes construction of a Controlled Industrial Facility consisting of a high bay radiological controlled area, a two-story support area, and enclosed storage area, related mechanical and electrical work and site work. Also, the scope of this project requires the demolition of building 91. Estimated cost range is $10,000,000 -- $15,000,000. The SIC code is 1541 and the Small Business Size Standard of 17 million are applicable to this contract. The proposed contract (solicitation) will be issued as unrestricted and is subject to the evaluation criteria set forth in DFAR 252.219-7008 -- Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns-Construction Acquisiton Test Program (APR 1996).
