Office in Alea, HI has a requirement for 1. Storage phosphor imaging
system or direct electronic imaging system suitable for image capture
and quantitative analysis of: a) Genomic DNA gel (Southern) blots b)
RNA gel (northern) blots c) Protein gel (western) blots d) must detect
signal from probes labeled with radioisotopes including 32P, 33P, and
35S e) detection of chemiluminescent and/or fluorescent probes
desirable but not required f) signal quotation must be linear over at
least 4 orders of magnitude g) software for image capture and analysis
must be Windows compatible and include site license h) must be able to
export images in JPEG or TIFF format which will produce presentation
quality images in Microsoft Powerpoint I) scanning resolution must be
100 microns or less j) sensitivity: must be able to detect 0.4 dpm/mm2
in one hour or less for 32P labeled samples k) must accommodate blots
of at least 20cm X 25cm l) must have unconditional warranty for
minimum 1 year with on site service in HI m) storage phosphor systems
must include at least 5 screen/exposure cassettes of at least 20X25 cm.
At least 4 of these screens must be suitable for use with 32P. The
above represents our technical requirements and interested parties will
only have one week from receipt of the RFQ to respond to our
solicitation. Proposals packages will be available after August 27,
1997. Responses to our RFQ's will need to be received in our office no
