The National Institutes of Health, (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase a Carl Zeiss KS 3D Analysis Workstation for the purpose of analyzing data obtained from an existing Zeiss LSM 410M Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope from Carl Zeiss on a sole source basis. The following outlines the specifications for the required system: 1) KS 300/2.0 Software -- #9108383011; 2) KS 300 Densitiometry Cal -- #9108383015; 3) KS 400 OPT 3D Slice & Render, Includes Sequence Handling -- #9108383008; 4) KS 400 OPT 3D Processing -- #9108383009; 5) KS 400 3D OPT Measure 2.04 -- #9108383010; 6) 200MHZ Pentium Computer; 7) 64MB Upgrade F/200MHZ Pentium; 8) M17-17" Sony Monitor 200SZ; 9) On Site Training; 10) Shipping, Delivery and Installation. The NIDDK also requires a copy of the vendor's commercial published price list and descriptive literature for the above items. The equipment needed has speicifications that must be met and aredescribed in the Request for Quotations (RFQ) package. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be consisded by the agency. All requests for quotations must be within the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000. It is anticipated that the RFQ package NIH-NIDDK-97-290 will be available (fifteen) 15 days after the publication date of the synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due (ten) 10 days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is August 12, 1997.
