National Telecommunications and Information Administration has a requirement to convert hard-copy documentation (approximately 665,000 pages) to CD-ROM with an embedded, full-text retrieval search engine. Contractor support services shall be: 1.) Cleared to handle documentation with classification up to and including CONFIDENTIAL; 2.) Performed on-site at the Department of Commerce, 1401 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC; 3.) Capable of producing CCITT Group IV TIFF images from scanning a mix of original paper documents up to 40 years old at 240-300 dots per inch (dpi); 4.) Able to configure embedded, full-text retrieval search engine software; textual content extracted from the TIFF images must be searchable using this software.
