By this action, the U.S. Army plans to incorporate an engineering change, ECP 1315 for A-Model Modification Work Order to close the slot at the top of the tailboom, remove the existing slot reinforcing structure, and incorporate elastomeric mounts at the vertical stablizer attach point of the redesigned frames. This effort will be a modification to a basic ordering agreement that was awarded to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85215-9797.
