Starkey, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-3718 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #70365. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular (FAC) 90-46. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3469 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Charleston Acoustics Supply House (local authorized distributor for the area) for Tate Access Floors, Inc., for the following: (1500) CC1500 Tate Bare Corner Lock Flooring, (570) 3777-Tate Bolted Stringer Base 36", (570) 7379-Tate 4" Bolted Stringer, (1500) 4299 Bolted Stringer screws, (290) 3893- Tate Perimeter Gal. Steel Adapter,(600) 4299 Perimeter screws for adapter. No installation is required -- must be compatible with an on-going project for existing Tate flooring system. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit bids. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive bids. However, all bids received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
