The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division has a technical engineering support services requirement for the Systems Research and Technology Department, Code B, for advanced networking concepts and computer systems aboard Naval ships. This effort includes support for the concept formulation, design, development and validation of expeditionary force ship combat systems, mission related facilities and component systems, subsystems, total ship networks, and software. This effort will encompass ship combat systems, mission related facilities and component systems, subsystems, total ship networks, modeling and simulation, and software development. Systems will includebut not be limited to Ship Wide Area Networks (SWANs), Integrated Combat Direction System (ICDS), Ship Console Design, Shipboard Display Emulator (SDE), Data System Console (DSC), Advanced Display System (ADS), Computer Open System Implementation Program (COSIP), and other Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) programs for ships such as the CVX, SSBNX, LPD 17, LCC, LHA, LHD and LHX along with associated mission related support systems and facilities. This effort will include a base year with four optional years. The level of effort for the 5 years consists of 22.25 man years for the base period and each option period.
