The Space and Missile Systems Center, Test and Evaluation, Launch Test Progams Office at Kirtland AFB has posted a Draft Request for Proposal on the internet for the Long Range Air Launched Target (LRALT) Program. The internet address is: http://129.238.76.19/lralt/ The objective of the LRALT program is to provide air launched ballistic boosters to support target vehicle requirements for the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization's Theater Missile Defense Program. The delivery system will be baselined to utilize a C-130 aircraft from which the booster will be extracted. Program objectives are to provide the launch systems, aircraft integration, and launch services required to conduct safe ballistic flight tests to meet user objectives. Industry comments regarding the draft solicitation are invited and encouraged. Foreign owned companies and/or Foreign Governments are not eligible for the prime contract. (0230)
