P -- INSTALL CATALYTIC CONVERTER SOL RFQ 527-29-97 DUE 090397 POC Laralee Horowitz, Contract Specialist Provide and supply all necessary labor and material to install new catalytic converters on existing chillers according to contract drawings and specification located at the VA Medical Center, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209, Bldg No.4 AC Plant. Scope of work includes demolition but is not limited to removal and replacement of existing mufflers, stacks and base on existing roof, new catalytic converters must meet standards of emission control under NYSDEC 6NYCRR 201 and 227 and applicable threshold as required by drawings and specs. Contractor shall also be responsible for obtaining an independent testing agency to verify actual emission levels before and after installation. All work to include material, labor and electrical, mechanical structural work and guarantees necessary for installation of catalytic converters shall be considered part of this quote. All work shall comply with NEC, K NFPA and building codes. Standard Industrial Classification is 1542, General Contractors. Construction cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
