The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Western Regional Contracting Office, 6600 Goodfellow Street, Dublin, CA 94568 has a requirement for Psychiatry Services to be provided to the Metropolitan Detention Center, 535 N. Alameda Street., Los Angeles, CA. The services are required to be provided to the Inmate population at the Metropolitan Detention Center. The services shall consist of psychiatric consultation, evaluation and follow-up for the inmate population. All services shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Psychiatric. The services shall include but not be limited to the following: evaluate and recommend treatment of confided persons, emergency care, mandatory court ordered evaluations or treatment, working as a liaison with Correctional Services in matters relating to behavior and mental in health management. The services shall be conducted two sessions per week. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Each session shall consist of two (2) hours. The qualifications which are required are the provider must be Nationally Board Certified in Psychiatry, Licensed to practice in the State of California, A graduate of an AMA recognized school of medicine, a member in good standing with the professional specialty organizations. Prior to contract performance the provider must also be able to provide proof of malpractice insurance that covers the practice in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, specifically the Metropolitan Detention Center. All offerors are advised that their proposal shall be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation factors as cited in the Request for Quotation. The anticipated period of this contract performance will be; Base Year: Date of Award through 12 months from award date; Option Period #1; 13 months from date of award through 24 months from date of award; Option Period #2; 25 months from date of award through 36 months from award date; Option Period #3; 37 months from date of award through 48 months from award date; Option period #4: 49 months from date of award through 60 months from award date. Proposal packages will approximately be available 08/15/97, with an approximate opening date of 09/19/97. All offers received in response to this notice, will be subject to the evaluation criteria as cited in the proposal.
