The Federal Bureau of Prison, Western Regional Office, 6600 Goodfellow Street, Dublin, CA 94568 has a requirement for an offeror to provide Phlebotomy Services. The services are required to be provided to the Inmate population at the Metropolitan Detention Center. All services provided shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the contractor's field of expertise, including but not limited to, maintain laboratory logs, perform scheduling, perform proper patient instructions for setting up fasting blood draws. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection and specimen processing and reporting all lab results, ensuring all necessary documentation request and results are properly transferred to staff physicians for review in a timely manner. The Offeror must a Certified Phlebotomist/Laboratory Technician or qualified Medical Assistant., a graduate of an AMA recognized school of medicine. The Offeror must be familiar with OSHA guidelines regarding bloodborne pathogens, possess a valid CPR certification. The services shall be required five sessions per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. One session shall consist of five hours. Services shall be provided between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All offerors are advised that their quotation shall be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation factors as cited in the Request for Quotation. The anticipated period of this contract performance will be: Base Year: Date of Award through 12 months from award date; Option Period #1: 13 months from date of award through 24 months from date of award; Option Period #2: 25 months from date of award through 36 months from award date; Option Period #3: 37 months from date of award through 48 months from award date; Option period #4: 49 months from date of award through 60 months from award date. Proposal packages will approximately be available 8/15/07, with an approximate opening date of 9/19/97. Al1 offerors are advised that the resultant contract will be subject to the wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor.
