Highway Division (EFLHD) to obtain the services of E. T. Techtonics on
a sole source basis to provide the EFLHD Bridge Design staff with
training and advice in the design and construction of a pedestrian
bridge which will utilize fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composites as
the material for the superstructure elements. Request for quotation
must be received by September 9, 1997. The anticipated award date is
September 15, 1997. This shall be a fixed-price purchase order. The SIC
Code for this requirement is 8999. All responsible sources may submit
a quote which will be considered. The following is informational: For
Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transporation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For information and
