A -- RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SOL RFQ#70479 DUE 091997 POC Harry Perkins, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-2956 The Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) is issuing a Request For Quotation(RFQ) to develop an Audio Analyzer System(AAS) responsible for obtaining digital audio messages along with day, date, and time details from Solid State Digital Telephone Answering Machine(s)(TAM). This effort will provide the FBI with an enhanced capability to collect messages from digital TAMS and store those messages on removable digital media. The process required the contractor to capture/acquire, store, and enhance messages from seized digital TAMS. This capability is not available commercially to the Law Enforcement Community. This task require TAM engineers to brief the FBI about the state of the Solid State Digital TAM industry and develop a prototype solution. This requirement is processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Standard Industrial Classified Code is 3661.
