Shockley, Contracting Officer, Synopsis Number R174-97. Information is
being sought on the availability of corporate experience in the
engineering area of simulation design, development, validation, testing
and analysis utilizing ARTS/SIMSTAR Hybrid Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL)
Simulation Systems including Advanced Real-Time Simulation (ARTS)
Language Advanced Continuous Simulation Language (ACSL), Parallel
Simulation Processors (PSP), SIMSTATION Data Collection Processors,
Electronic Signal Allocators (ESA), Logic Signal Allocators (LSA),
Digital Parallel Multiprocessor Low Cost Host Computers and Function
Generator Processors (FGPs). The proposed contract effort would be
performed at the U.S. Army Missile Command Advanced Simulation Center
(ASC) Hybrid HWIL Laboratory and Imaging Infrared Simulation System
(IIRSS) (1) The proposed contract effort shall include all necessary
technical skills and services to provide non-real-time ACSL basic and
full implementations, conversion to real-time ARTS/SIMSTAR hybrid
implementation and conversion to ARTS/SIMSTAR hybrid real-time HWIL
implementation of weapon system dynamic simulation models. This shall
include developing, modifying, adapting and/or analyzing math models of
all essential and pertinent weapon system subsystem elements, defining
the overall weapon system simulation configuration, establishing
conventions including coordinate systems, determining parameters for
parametric studies, defining requirements for model definitions, model
verification data, program preparation formats, implementation and
verification of each module, integration and verification of the
modules, overall simulation verification and validation and
documentation of the implementation, verification, validation and
application of the resultant simulation. The proposed contract will
require a minimum Full-time Resident Staff which will consist of four
senior project engineers with real-time programming experience which
includes 5 years Fortran, 5 years ACSL, 4 years ARTS, and 5 years
SIMSTAR and three project engineers with real-time programming
experience, which includes 3 years Fortran, 3 years ACSL, 2 years ARTS
and 2 years SIMSTAR. (2) The contractor must provide verification of
successful experience in the areas noted in this document. (3) The ASC
Hybrid HWIL Laboratory and IIRSS 1 are operated as secure classified
facilities. A tour and/or briefing is possible if prospective
respondents will submit a suitable security clearance for each company
representative. (4) This information is being sought for future
