D -- SOFTWARE, SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE SOL MDA410-97-R-0007 DUE 091297 POC Mr. DeLuca 703/696-3843 X 1403 Tech.Contact Mr. Brisebois 703/696-1420 X 1420 The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) will be issuing a solicitation for replacement of software currently used in DoDEA schools and district offices to maintain administrative data, including but not limited to, School Master schedules, Student schedules, Student demographic information, Attendance records (daily and period), Course/curriculum information, Grades and transcripts (including report cards), Discipline information, Health information, School Faculty information, Tuition Information, School facility information, Test Scores, Transportation (bus) information, and, School Lunch Program information. School administrative information is needed both for the effective and efficient operation of the schools and to provide timely and accurate information to district offices, area offices and DoDEA headquarters. School Administrative Software Replacement (SASR) will utilize a fully competitive contract to acquire commercial off the self (COTS) software for school administration. Current plans call for three phases of implementation. In Phase I, the software will be provided and installed in two or three pilot districts. The implementation of the pilot districts is scheduled to occur in the 1998-1999 School year. Phase II would consist of approximately 100 schools and their districts, to be implemented in the 1999-2000 School year. Phase III would provide support for all remaining DoDEA schools and districts, and would occur in the 2000-2001.
