Leslie, OC-ALC/LADCB, 3001 Staff Dr, Ste 2AI86A, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3020, FAX 405-739-4452, seeks a responsible, responsive source with demonstrated capabilities to provide Engineering Services for B-52 Stratofortress Bomber weapon system. the current contract, F34601-93-C-0454, which consisted of a basic year with four one year options, is due to expire on 31 Dec 97. This contract was awarded to Boeing Defense & Space Group (BD&SG), Product Support Division, Wichita, KS as the only source known to the United States Air Force that was capable of providing such services. The USAF intends to issue a Request For Proposal for these Engineering Services to BD&SG on or about 29 Aug 1997 with the goal of having a Time and Materials contract awarded by 31 Dec 1997. While the USAF continues to believe that BD&SG is the only source capable of providing such Engineering Services in support of the B- 52 Weapons System we are also aware that there are subcontracting opportunities with BD&SG for a variety of responsible, responsive vendors to support the contract. Such vendors are encouraged to contact BD&SG for such subcontracting opportunities as they become available on the contract. (0231)
