WHITE GOODS PROPERTY AT DRMO SAN ANTONIO, TX The Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service (DRMS) is planning to offer current and future generations of surplus "White Goods property (refrigerators, stoves, clothes washers and dryers) on a term sale basis. Those assets surviving the reutilization, transfer, and donation (RTD) process at the Defense Reutilization & Marketing Office (DRMO) in San Antonio, Texas will become available for Contractor removal. The contract will be awarded on a "proceeds sharing basis" and will provide exclusive rights to this material for a period of six (6) months. This initiative supports the Government's focus on partnering with industry. Under this Invitation For Bid (IFB), DRMS will provide the Contractor with exclusive rights to the property listed and will obtain a share of the resale proceeds. Ideally, the Government's partner (the Contractor) will increase the value of the material. In view of this concept, the Government anticipates that these business arrangements provide benefit through more effective marketing, higher profits and an increase in net sales proceeds to the U.S. Treasury.
