U -- CHAMBER AUTOMATION SYSTEM TRAINING SOL F41622-97-RA217 POC Bill Lucas, (210) 536-6222 Brooks AFB Operational Contracting intends to award a sole source contract to Parker Kinetic Designs Inc, 5806 Mesa Dr Suite 335, Austin Texas 78731. The requirement is for an Altitude Chamber Automation System that is currently available as the Air Force Standard. Automation for the 20-man Guardite Hypobaric Chamber will be used to control altitude chamber ascent, descent and vent control. This system is compatible with the systems used in the Hypobaric Chamber Operations throughout the Air Education and Training Command. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this award is solely within the discretion of the Government. No award will be made on the basis of quotes received in response to this synopsis. If quotes are solicited no additional synopsis will be published. This is IAW FAR Part 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. No telephone requests will be accepted. Anticipated award will be 15 days after publication.
