This is a commercial item based on specification: CID97LDE-EW01TYPEC9 which supercedes the old MIL-T specification. This item is used to measure static tension in aircraft control cables on multiple aircraft. Two (2) BIDsamples shall be provided for evaluation and approval by the cognizant engineering activity prior to contract award. A calibration report shall be provided with each bid sample. These samples should be returned to the offerer within 60 to 90 days. The offered tensiometer, to meet market acceptability must have been on the market for at least two (2) years with a minimum of 50 sold to commercial (non-military) customers.
