This procurement will result in a firm, fixed price supply contract. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit offers. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation is for one line item. Provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. Purchase Description: Line item 0001, AN/PRC-117F HF through UHF Radio, 5 each. The radio transceiver shall: (1) be capable of HF (ALE) through UHF (DAMA) frequency usage; (2) have at least 5 KHz channel spacing; (3) have SINCGARS interoperability; (4) have the capability to transmit data; (5) have a built-in encryption system; and (6) weigh less than 16 pounds. Shipment is to be FOB Fort Gordon, Georgia. Complete technical description and product literature of the items being identified shall be submitted in sufficient detail to evaluate capability. Capability statements must be received by the Directorate of Contracting, Contracting Division, Building 2102, Fort Gordon, Georgia 30905-5110 no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on August 28, 1997.
