Dwayne Weaver, (703)602-8105, ext. 512 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a modification to contract N00024-96-C-5167 for technical engineering services and material to continue the Mentor-Protege Program in support of the AN/UYQ-21 Program. As a mentor, Hughes Aircraft Company, Weapons Systems Segment, Naval and Maritime Systems Business Unit, P.O. Box 3310, Fullerton, CA 92634-3310, will assist the Protege, Kuchera Defense Systems, 345 Hillside Drive, Windber, PA 15963, by providing developmental assistance in the manufacture of cable and harnesses, units, circuit cards and end items to specifications for the AN/UYQ-21. Hughes, as the manufacturer of AN/UYQ-21 equipment, is uniquely qualified to mentor a small business. The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
