Contractor shall be required to formulate at least one concept for an armament system that utilizes to the maximum extent possible, an advanced medium caliber bursting munitions cartridge. This system concept shall be specifically designed for use in the Marine Corps Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle. The contractor shall also initiate design of the advanced medium caliber bursting munitions projectile and shall simulate/model the anticipated fragmentation breakup of the projectile. This simulation shall be of sufficient detail and realism to be used by the government for lethality analysis and comparison with other high explosive rounds with point detonating fuzes. (0231)
