Branch, intends to issue a sole source RFQ to Quest Diagnostics, 33608
Ortega Highway, San Juan Capistrano, Ca. The purpose is to continue a
study to assess benign breast disease and breast cancer case-control
differences in serum levels of three androgens, namely testosterone,
androstenedione, and DHEA. The study now includes 190 breast cancer
cases, 190 cases with hyperplastic benign breast disease, 190 benign
controls with non-hyperplastic breast disease and 57 quality control
samples, for a total of 627 samples. The study formerly included
samples from 487 women. It is essential that the assays for the
additional 140 women be performed by the same lab that is performing
the assays for the original 487 samples. This is not a request for
competitive proposals, as no solicitation will be issued. However,
vendors who believe they can meet the Governments requirements may
submit their qualifications. The submission must be in writing and must
contain sufficient detail so that a determination can be made regarding
meeting the Governments requirements. The submission must be received
