of Reclamation(Reclamation) in consultation with the Bureau of Indian
Affairs (BIA), has identified buildings at the Low Mountain Boarding
School and the Cottonwood Day School, near Chinle AZ that are in need
of renovation and code compliance work. This acquisition is being
solicited from and limited to Architectural-Engineering firms who
qualify as 51% Indian owned firms as defined by the "Buy-Indian Act",
25U.S.C. 47. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.219-14,
"Limitation on Subcontracting" is applicable. The tasks consist of
preparation of construction drawings, specifications, detailed
construction cost estimates and related design calculations required
for the renovations outlined in the Government's Statement of Work
(SOW). The estimated period of performance for the proposed contract is
180 calendar days from date of award. It is anticipated that a
solicitation will be issued on or about October 15, 1997. Interested
parties who believe they meet the performance qualifications and the
socio-economic criteria provided above may submit a written request for
a copy of the solicitation. All sources responding to this synopsis
shall submit information relating to their business size statues, i.e.
small, large, minority, women-owned, etc. The standard identifier code
(SIC) for this acquisition is 8711 and the small business standard is
