This procurement will provide the following minimum channels: ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, MSNBC, WBZ, WSBK (UPN), SPORTS CHANNEL, NICKELODEON, USA, CNN, HEADLINE NEWS, ESPN, LIFE, THE LEARNING CHANNEL, E CHANNEL, MTV, C-SPAN, FAMILY CHANNEL, TNN, TNT, THE WEATHER CHANNEL, AND TURNER BROADCASTING SYSTEM (TBS). The period of performance is one base year, beginning 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998, with four one-year options. The only known source for providing this service is Cablevision of Boston. Alternative channels will not be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received by 02 September 1997 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
