Fontano (718) 553-3080 Contracting Officer The Federal Aviation Administration, Eastern Region, will negotiate a single-source contract with Kavouras, Inc., 6301 34th Avenue, South Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the maintenance of 130 vista 1000A workstations, monitors and keyboards at seven locations throughout the Eastern Region. The contract will be isssued for one year with four (4) one year option periods. Additionally, FAA will contract with Kavouras to provide Weather Graphics and RADACS DBS Service at the same seven locations. The equipment is FAA owned, purchased from Kavouras and requires data from Kavouras satellites in order to translate weather conditions to FAA personnel to be utilized by the flying public. The proprietary data, computer software which enables the Automated Flight Service Stations to process this information is owned exclusively by Kavouras.
