The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a 12-month a SOLE-SOURCE Simplified Acquisition order as a Buy Indian Set-Aside, 25 U.S.C. 47, to Ms. Rachel Pacheco, Albuquerque New Mexico 87102, for services as a STD Nurse, Special Projects Coordinator to provide technical consulting services on sexually transmitted diseases (STD). The proposed contractor shall develop an assessment tool of STD clinical services in IHS and Tribal health facilities to determine areas of need and improvement in providing STD clinical services; establish projects to improve chlamydia and other STD screening and testing through the evaluation and augmentation of current practices and standards of care; collaborate with Area Chief Medical Officers and Service Unit Clinical Directors to implement IHS Area and Tribal policies and programs for chlamydia screening, treatment, and follow-up; train health providers concerning specimen collection, counseling, and partner management and notification; and consult with Tribes regarding the implementation of Centers for Diseases Control (CDC) STD guidelines in Tribal-managed facilities.
