R -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE NEGOTIATED CONTRACT TO THE OREGON STATE DEPT. OF FISH & WILDLIFE. WASC7-1755. Notice of intent to issue a sole source negotiated contract with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODF&W) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). NMFS requires ODF&W to monitor sea lions in the Willamette River and sea lion predation on salmonids at the Willamette Falls fishway in Oregon. ODF&W will also investigate the effectiveness of non-lethal removal measures during the winter steelhead and spring chinook runs. NOAA proposes a sole source contract since ODF&W is the only entity authorized (other than NMFS)_ that has authority to conduct non-lethal removal of sea lions at this site. Contract term of proposed contract is 9/97 -- 9/98. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,00.
