The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a 12-month SOLE SOURCE contract with two (one) year option periods to the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible and no other supplier can satisfy the agency requirement. The major goals of this component of the project is to continue the tasks of a previous contract by training up to five (5) mental health professionals in each of the IHS Areas to provide clinical training, supervision, or case consultation for other providers in the treatment and prevention of child and adolescent sexual and physical abuse. The second major goal is to provide training each year to up to 600 Head Start staff from four (4) Areas on child abuse and neglect recognition, classroom interventions, referral, preventive practices and policy and procedure development. This procurement is a SOLE SOURCE and NO solicitation is available, therefore requests for such documents will be considered invalid responses. Numbered Note 22 applies except that the 45 days is reduced to 15 days. (0232)
