This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference Request for Quotation Number 40-QANW-7-00264. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This is a small business set-aside. Description -- Handar Integrated Goes Satellite Direct Readout Ground Station (DRGS), Model 2000 with the following equipment features: Unit with programmable channel selection, DEMODS operate at 100 BAUD data rate and is upgradable to 300 BAUD data rate with minor hardware/firmware changes. Digital signal processing technology (DSP) receiver/demodulator with built-in comprehensive self test diagnostic routine. 555B/Sb with EXP CONN. Panel and GOES Radio ground truth station. Channel tuning ranges are 1-199 domestic and 1-33 international. There are five contract line items as follows: (1)Part Number 547-7006 -- Handar Model UBS-2000 Universal Base Station (UBS) upgraded to include Pentium Pro 200 MHz with 64 MB RAM, 6+ GB EIDE HD, 4.0 GB minimum SCSI HD, 1.44 MB floppy, 4.0 GB minimun Optical Disk, 2 Serial Ports, trackball mouse, 16X CD ROM, 21" Monitor (with .28mm DOT Pitch minimum Resoultion), 32 BIT 3D video card with 4MB VRAM, Ethernet LAN I/O interface, 28.8 FAX/MODEM, enhanced 101 Keyboard; (2) Part Number 547-5006 -- Handar UBS 2000 Software upgraded to include Windows NT Operating System, MS Office Professional including MS Word, Excell, Access and Encarta 97 Atlas; (3) Part Number 547-7007 -- Upgraded to include COMTEC 5.0 meter motorized incline orbit dish antenna with 36 VDC motor (both axes), Microprocessor controller, 2 each axis encoders, R/O Manual feed, feed horn, LNB (LNA, Feed & Block Downconverter), Azimuth and Elevation tuning kits, and all necessary cabling and installation hardware. (4) Installation of indoor equipment including system start-up. (5) 3-day on-site training at Stennis Space Center, MS. Descriptive literature is requested.
