61 -- CONTINUOUS POWER SUPPLY (CPS) SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER FACILITY DUE 090897 POC Jim Harden 202-874-0238 This CBD Announcement is an amendment to the July 22, 1997 CBD Announcement for the Continuous Power Supply (CPS) System for the Financial Management Service (FMS), U.S. Department of the Treasury. WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: (additional Language) The Government is not obligated to award a contract for periodic maintenance under RFQ-FMS-97-0010. PROPOSAL EVALUATION CRITERIA IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: (replacement language) The following criteria will be used by the Government to evaluate proposals received in response to the solicitation: Proposal meets specifications, warranty proposed, past performance-proposed system shall have been in operation at multiple data processing sites for several years (ie. a period of time which will adequately demonstrate long term reliability of the system). Contractors submitting a proposal shall: 1. Complete the certifications included with the engineering drawings; 2. Indicate that they fully comply with the specifications listed; 3. Propose atotal price for delivery, installation, and warranty of the CPS System. 4. Submit telephone numbers and contact points for past performance. Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Oct 1995) is amended as follows: ...The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: As specified in PROPOSAL EVALUATION CRITERIA. Technical and past performance, when combined, are significantly more important than cost. A second site-visit has been scheduled for the CPS System at 3700 East-West Highway, Hyattsville, MD 20782 at 10:00am E.S.T. on August 29, 1997.
