The VA Medical Center, St. Cloud, Minnesota intends to award a Indefinite delivery Commercial Item contract to retrofit existing T-12 fluorescent light fixtures with new T-8 ballasts and lamps and install specular reflectors to reduce energy consumption. Installation of this retrofit to be accomplished by the successful bidder. The minimum delivery are as follows: LIGHTING FIXTURE RETROFIT 1. 2' x 4' 2-tube recessed fixtures: Replace two T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps. Replace T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballasts. Minimum quantity -- 489 ea. 2. 2' x 4' 3-tube recessed fixtures: Replace three T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps and a reflector. Replace the T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballasts. If 3-tube fixtures are already T-8, remove center tube and install specular reflector. Eliminate one ballast, if possible, if possible. Minimum quantity -- 144 ea. 3. 2' x 4' 4-tube recessed fixtures: Replace four T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps and a reflector. Eliminate one ballast. Replace the T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballasts. Minimum quantity -- 283 ea. 4. Narrow -- 4' tube recessed fixtures: Replace two T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps. Replace T-12 ballast with T-8 ballast. Minimum quantity -- 40 ea. 5. 2' x 2' U-tube recessed fixtures: Replace existing T-12 U-lamps with two T-8 lamps and a reflector. Replace existing T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballasts. Minimum quantity -- 248 ea. 6. 4' 3-tube over bed fixture: Replace existing T-12 lamps with T-8 lamps. Replace T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballast. Modify raceway as needed. Minimum quantity -- 242 ea. 7. 2', 2-tube vanity light: Replace two T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps. Replace T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballasts. Minimum quantity -- 40 ea. 8. 4-tube surface/hanging fixtures: Replace four T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps and a reflector. Replace T-12 ballasts with T-8 ballasts. Eliminate one ballast. Minimum quantity -- 7 ea. 9. 2-tube surface/hanging fixtures: Replace two T-12 lamps with two T-8 lamps. Replace T-12 ballast with T-8 ballasts. Minimum quantity -- 124 ea.
