MCDONALD (202) 782-1171 EARL MUSE, Contracting Officer (Site Code DADA15) Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to negotiate with Abbott Laboratories on a sole source basis for Drugs of Abuse Reagents & Therapeutic Chemical Analytes for DoD's central medicolegal testing laboratory for a period of one year beginning 1 OCT 97 with four (4) option years. At a minimum the reagents shall use the Fluorescent Polarization Immunoassay (FPIA) technology. Analyses to include reagents, calibrators, controls, diluents, and other consumables shall have the following limits of detection: Amphetamine/Methamphetamine 100 ng/mL; Barbiturates 60 ng/ML; Benzodiazepines 40 ng/mL; Cocaine 30 ng/mL; Cannabinoids 10 ng/mL; Ethanol 10 mg/dL for urine, serum, plasma, and fresh blood, 10mg/dL for post-mortem blood; Opiates 25 ng/mL; Phencyclidine 5 ng/mL; Acetaminophen 1 ug/mL; Salicylate 5 mg/L and Phenytoin .50 ug/mL. Contractor shall provide two (2) AxSYM Immunoassay Analyzers at no additional charge to the government. All responsible sources may submmit an offer which shall be considered bythe agency.
