A -- TRANSMYOCARDIAL LASER REVASCULARIZATION SYSTEM SOL RFP 630-71-97 DUE 090897 POC CYNTHIA McCLARIN (212) 951-3406 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, New York, NY intends to issue a sole source procurement to CardioGenesis Corp., Sunnyvale, CA for a Transmyocardial Laser Revascularization System (TMLR) as an equipment purchase or lease/placement agreement. The objective of the TMLR is that this technology is effective in the treatment of inoperable coronary artery disease w/better control of angina and importantly significant reduction in hospitalization for unstable symptoms; for the treatment of patients who suffer from refractory angina and who are not candidates for conventional CABG or PTCA revascularization procedures. This is not a request for quotation. Vendors who believe they can meet the Government's requirements may submit their qualifications. The submission must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail so that a determination can be made regarding meeting Government's requirements. The submission must be received by C.O.B. September 8, 1997. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used for this procurement. (0233)
