Contracting Officer The Defense Information Systems Agency has a
requirement for capacitor replacement and battery replacement for a
150KVA Dynasty Model Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) 12-270. The
battery replacement effort will include removal and disposal by the
contractor of 80 jars of Sealed Lead Acid Valve Regulated Batteries
(SLAVR) in a manner conforming with the laws and regulations required
by the United States Government, and any laws and regulations required
by the offeror's state and/or locality. The Manufacturer of the 150
KVA UPS battery is Exide, Serial Number SNDU1185781, the batteries must
be DM80, no serial numbers or manfacturer is available. Installation
and replacement will be in accordance with IEEE Standard 484. Eighty
(80) each new batteries will be required. The manufacturer of the 100
KVA UPS capacitor is Emerson, Model Number AP500 Series. The AC
Capacitors are as follows: (a) 46 uf/EIC P/N:12-749317-10, 3 each; (b)
92 uf/EIC P/N: 12-749301-10, 6 each; and (c ) 30 uf/EIC P/N:
12-749323-10, 9each. Requests for the solicitation, which includes a
separate statement of work for the battery replacement and capacitor
replacement, must be received by 28 August 1997. The solicitation will
be issued on/about 29 August 1997. Proposals will be due on 11
September 1997 not later than 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. No RFP
Amendments will be issued; offerors must obtain their best
understanding of the requirement from the Statements of Work and submit
a proposal to include a firm-fixed price for the effort. Award will be
to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the terms of the
solicitation and who has the lowest price. The offeror's standard
commercial packing/packaging will be utilized to provide for
damage-free shipment and receipt at destination. The assigned rating
under the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) is DO-A7. The
Government intends to award one (1) purchase order for the above
