The following outlines the specifics for the required acquisition: 1) Calorimeter: Oxymax Main Controller, 2 chamber capacity, Oxygen Sensor (18%-22% range), Carbon Dioxide Sensor (0%-22% range), System Sample Pump, Oxymax v4.0 Software with instruction manual; 2) Oxymax Laptop Controller with cable, pentium 100 MHz, 8 Mbyte Hard Disk Drive, 4x CD ROM Drive, 3 1/2" Disk Drive, 11" Dual Scan Display, Epson FX-870 Printer; 3) Oxymax Fresh Air Ventilation Pump +Pressure, 4) Oxymax Air Flow Ventilation System (1 LPM); 5) Oxymax Chamber-Mice (7.9" x 4" x5") SS Hardware; 6) Oxymax Fast Response Chamber for Mice; 7) Opto-Varimax-Mini Model "B"; 8) Counter Interface to PC/AT 4 Channels; 9) Shipping, Delivery, & Installation Charges. The equipment needed has specifications that must be met and are described in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) Package. All responsible small business sources (which include 8a firms) may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. All requests for quotations must be within the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000. It is anticipated that the RFQ package NIH-NIDDK-97-294 will be available (fifteen) 15 days after the publication date of the synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due (ten) 10 days after the release fo the RFQ. The anticipated award date is September 18, 1997.
