Solicitation number N00168-98-Q-L028 will be issued 5 September 1997 for food products to support the Blood Donor Program at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Items are used as a donor incentive and as donor refreshment after the donation of blood or blood components. This requirement is unrestricted although those responding to this announcement should be a full-line food distributor. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1) year effective 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with four (4) option years. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options.
