PROGRAMMING SERVICES FOR VEHICLE FLEET MANAGEMENT This requirement is
for the purchase of commercial or modified commercial software to
replace the existing Air Force software for vehicle fleet management.
In addition the software must be able to update the Air Force OLVIMS
Software. It must be a multi-user windows based automated decision
support system that collects, tracks, plans, schedules and projects
maintenance related activities including parts and equipment
information, equipment maintenance schedules and manpower and equipment
utilization. Must include features required to manage maintenance
operations, such as work order based maintenance, equipment operations,
cost tracking periodic maintenance (pm) schedules, parts and material
information, administrative functions and report building capabilities.
The commercial software must interface with the current On Line Vehicle
Integrated Management System (OLVIMS), real time data base to data
base, and other DOD software systems by way of ASCII data file
transfer. The existing Air Force Software (OLVIMS) is a Cobol based
computer system designed in the early sixties. OLVIMS can be divided
into three major functions: (1) historical, (2) fleet management and
(3) equipment maintenance. There are two functional subsystems: (1) the
master computer which holds all the master records, and (2) remote
terminals used for data collection. The master computer is updated by
importing ASCII transaction files from the remote terminals. Please

Experience: An outline of previous projects, specific work previously
performed or being performed in this area; (3) Personnel: Name,
professional qualifications and specific experience, related to this
requirement, who may be assigned as the principal investigator and/or
project officer; (4) Facilities: Availability and description of
special facilities and/or equipment required to perform in the
technical areas under consideration. Any other specific and pertinent
information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that
would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information
