This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance withe the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the conly solicitation; quotations are geing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is not 100 % set aside for small business. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) N00102-97-Q-6586. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32, Part 12. Item 0001 Installation of T-1 connection: Connection of full T-1 capability directly from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard to the Internet Backbone without a third party ISP. Installation will include any startup fees, actual installation of the fiber optic line and CSU/DSU interface. This is to be a point to point service, "cloud" services are not acceptable. Item 0002 Maintenance of connection described in item 0001: This will include ISP charges and actual telephone company charges on a monthly basis. Only basic service is required of a connection from the shipyard directly to the internet.
