This action is a pre-solicitation notice to express the Government intention to award a modification to Chemonics Contract No. 522-0325-C-00-3298-00 from October 1, 1997 to December 31, 1998, to provide a short-term and long-term technical assistance and logistical support to the Government of Honduras and Honduran private sector in the areas of economic and agriculture policy analysis and implementation, based upon an impairment of foreign assistance exception. The contract's output are grouped into two main components. The first component includes all the specific products to assist the Government of Honduras (GOH) and the private sector in consolidating and improving specific policies, regualtions, measures and programs adopted as a result of the economic liberalization process and the Agriculture Modernization and Development Law (AMDL). The second component is an effort to educate the Honduran general public and specific audiences to better understand the economic policies and the reasons for adopting the policy reforms in the AMDL. The expected result of delivering these products is the maintenance of policy reforms, and if possible deepening, during the transition period between GOH administration. (0234)
