X -- OUTLEASE OF GOLF COURSE SOL 598-2-98 DUE 091297 POC Mike Barger (501)370-6632 The Department intends to enter into a long-term Enhanced-Use lease of real property. The three tracts of land include 1)approx. 50 acres of a golf course facility 2) approx. 22 acres of recreational property and 3) approx. 6 acres of storage property under VA control. Under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8161 er seq. the Government will enter into a lease arrangement for up to 35 years(or as authorized by law) with a developer who is determined to offer the best value combination of 1) purpose of use and 2) method of and/or amount of compensation to the Govt. Through the Enhanced-Use lease authority the Department intends to lease any or all of the three parcels of property located on the North Little Rock campus. Proposed usage of any of the parcels of property must be compatible with the Department's mission and operations at the Medical Center.
